RULES TO REMIND COACHES
Please read Rule 6.07 Batting out of turn
MYTH: The improper batter is automatically out.
Truth: Different outcomes depending on when it is noticed, in other words The defense MUST APPEAL, If the offense calls time the proper batter will bat and assume the count. Pay attention to 6.07 (a,b,c and d) read the examples -------------------- Also I recommend reading rule 7.13, When runners leave early- Again they are not automatically out, depends on play. ---------------- As per National rule 1.17 All catchers are required to have a "dangling" type throat guard. ** This rule applies even if catcher has a hockey style mask**
